The research study aims to determine the effect of the novel coronavirus on global trends, and problems experienced by leaders of organizations in different parts of the world and administrative processes in businesses. Challenges such as communities and the economy intensification in virtualization deglobalization and the economy’s recession phase are also deliberated in the research study. The method used in the study was literature review. The findings of the study reveal that individual countries are entering a recession and stagnation phase due to the coronavirus impacts. Research has shown that insomnia, fear of contagion, depression, anxiety, and distress are associated with the covid-19 pandemic among healthcare professionals and the general population. Economic difficulties, social isolation, chronic stress, fear of contagion, and anxiety might result to the worsening or development of anxiety, psychiatric disorders, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse in susceptible populations, which includes people in areas prevalent with covid-19 and people with pre-existing psychiatric conditions. Psychiatric conditions that are related to stress include substance and mood disorders and are linked with suicidal behavior. The method used in the study was literature review. The study found out that the coronavirus pandemic is linked with depression, insomnia, fear of contaminating others, anxiety and distress among the general population. The author recommends that individuals should be encouraged to maintain relationships and stay connected through constant communication, get enough sleep, exercise and consume healthy foods during the coronavirus pandemic to reduce risks associated with the virus.
