Some historical events that might have contributed to the current structural and systematic factors that continue to reinforce socioeconomic inequity.

Socioeconomic inequality has existed in the U.S for a long time. It majorly exists between racial lines. Some of the historical events that contributed to its rise are social segregation and immigration policy. The geographical segregation of racial groups in which some people with some races like black people were forced to live in areas that are not safe for human lives. These areas contain environmental polluting agents that give rise to chronic diseases such as cancer. Immigration policies like the 1790 naturalization act that barred some racial groups from accessing some services also promoted socioeconomic inequity in the U.S.

Kind of Racial Micro-aggression That Henry Clark Experienced

The kind of micro-aggression that Clark might face is ascription of intelligence. Ascription of intelligence involves attributing intelligence to belong to a person of color based on their race. Clark being a person belonging to the black race, some people might overlook his ideas of creating a healthy environment. His intelligence has led him into an idea of environmental justice which requires the individual communities to uphold the same level of respect for their own environment to other communities in the society (Bernard, 2018) . If a community does not support waste disposal in their environment, then they should have the same view of other community's environment unless the community sees it otherwise.

The Alternative Epidemiology Could Play In Richmond Environmental Effort.

Despite the efforts by Richmond, environmental effort to create a clean environment to control the rise of chronic disease, these kinds of diseases can still be caused by poor lifestyle choices by the people in these areas. These choices may include too much consumption of alcohol, smoking, poor diet, and lack of physical activities.
