Environmental justice is defined as meaningful engagement and fair treatment of all people without considering national origin, color, race or income with regards to the development, implementation as well as enforcement of the environmental laws, policies, and regulations ( Bullard, 2005). This, therefore, means that none should suffer because of the environment they live, play or work.
Environmental problems impact the human population through several populations. With the filthy environment, the health of people is at risk. The ever-changing climate leading to events such as droughts, heat waves, and floods have an effect on the health of humans. Moreover, environmental pollution such as disposing dirt in water or burning fossil fuels leads to diseases such as lung illnesses and waterborne diseases such as typhoid and cholera. The environmental practices which deprive the human population to clean food and clean water violate the basic human rights. Environmental degradation violates the fundamental right to life for humans who die from diseases gotten from the filthy environment ( Duckett, Feliciano, Martin-Ortega & Munoz-Rojas, 2016). With the filthy environment, even the economies are at risk. If people fail to address the ever-changing climatic change, there is a great threat to the agricultural sector which is one of the big drivers of the economy.

The climatic change has a great impact on the production of crops and livestock. Because of the environmental problems, the human population is getting displaced. It is generally understood that the recent rise in temperature has caused the melting of the ice cap of the Arctic polar which has led to the rising temperatures at the sea levels. The rising temperatures have displaced many communities that live close to the sea ( Duckett, Feliciano, Martin-Ortega & Munoz-Rojas, 2016). The individuals who face the biggest threat to the environmental problems are the poor because it is not easy for them to handle the health effects which come with the filthy environment. When they get exposed to diseases such as waterborne diseases or those gotten from filthy air, it is likely that they would lose their lives.
