The youth leaders need to understand the overall picture of the administration within the local churches based on the student ministry and use God’s word as the primary initial source. The current equipping journey mindscape helps in building a balanced, strategic, and vital student ministry. It emphasizes the key components that need the students to develop right from childhood to adulthood to help the youth ministry be balanced and successful. The mindscape strategically takes an example of how the Jewish were going through their transition from childhood to adulthood.

The journey begins at the age of five. During the stage, the targeted spiritual leader and a minister are taught the various children rituals. That gives them a sense of identity, security, and belonging. It helps them overcome the multiple challenges in life and prepares them to cope with the identity crisis issues they might face in their early teens (Wargo, 2017) . That is important as it draws them nearer to God. At ten years old, they are taught various traditions. That is important because it helps them be aware of the different existing habits among the community they intend to minister.

At 15 years, the Christian spiritual leader students are taught Christian theology. That equips them with an opportunity to be considered as a typical volunteer from the community who is ready to demonstrate wisdom and good spirituals leadership. The wisdom gained at this stage helps them in their future interaction with people. At 20 years old, they are considered to have reached the age of consent. Here, they are allowed to follow their heart in terms of marrying and following their various vocation based on their decision. All these are done based on the word of God from the bible. That is, they must follow biblical principles.

At 25 years, they are allowed to start ministering to the people, and when they reach 30, they are considered to have learned a lot from experience. Therefore, they are deemed to have a deeper understanding of the ministry. That is based on the wisdom gained through learning and experiencing. However, at the last stage, when the minister reaches 50 years, they are considered to advise the young men within the ministry. At this stage, they are said to be at the peak of their mindscape within the spiritual ministry.

However, throughout the long journey of equipping the young children into the spiritual ministry, they also undergo several challenges. Some of these are fear of the unknown, spiritual hunger, being lazy, and fear of changes that may occur in the ministry and their lives. (Godwin et al., 2016) However, these challenges are overcome by various influential books and people. Among the books include Conversation with God: Uncommon dialogue by Neale Donald Walsch and Protégé developing your next Generation of Church Leaders . Influential spiritual leaders include Steve Saccone, Ryan Hartwig, and Warren Bird. These help the leaders overcome challenges for their successful ministry.
