As technology is continually developing and being applied in many industries, clinical processes have been left behind. Less technology is used in clinical processes compared to other industries. Recently, technology has been top of the agenda for improving many clinical processes. It is believed that the future of the medical industry lies in technology and therefore there is a need to incorporate technology in this industry and make better use of it. Use of technology in medicine industry will reduce the cost of health care to the patients, and it will also improve the quality of services offered to patients by health care personnel.

There are some issues which are related to nursing informatics. They include the creation of new roles for nurses in that nurses can also be Information and communication personnel in their health centers. This group of nurses has additional knowledge of interacting with technological devices made for health care. Therefore, these nurses need extra training apart from nursing so that they know advanced technology. Training of nurses so that they interact with technological devices has been going on in some countries like America.

Key elements of motivating clients to improve their health behaviors and outcomes

Many people do not engage in behaviors which are likely to improve their health. They engage in habits like drinking alcohol and smoking which lead to delay in all-cause mortality. To motivate clients to improve their health behaviors, first, it is good to target clients who are likely to be encouraged to change (Hardcastle, 2015). It is easy to motivate these kinds of people since they are focused on changing their health behaviors. Also motivational interviewing can be conducted to offer counseling to people to change their health behaviors. Clients should be told the consequences of their bad health behaviors and also positive effects of changing these behaviors.

Some clients have bad health behaviors as they follow the customs of their community or that of their families. Therefore it is important that when motivating these clients to consider what their families prefer and if the family of the client has the same health issues, it is advisable that the whole family be included in the motivation process. This will help in changing completely bad health behaviors of clients (Young, 2014).
