Hadley violated the Princeton Plainsboro Hospital clinical trial regulations in two ways. First, Hadley did not sign the documents that all participants in the clinical trial signed before embarking in the actual activities of the clinical trial. Secondly, Hadley joined the clinical trial past the time limit that had been set by Princeton Plainsboro Hospital for recruiting participants in the clinical trial. Hadley violated the ethics of informed consent by entering the clinical trial in inappropriate manner. Hadley had worked for Princeton Plainsboro Hospital for six years and was aware of the regulations of the hospital in regard to executing clinical trials. Surprisingly, she agreed to enter into the clinical trial without signing the documents which were required by the hospital. Also, Cameron was involved in ethics violations. Cameron violated the ethics of integrity because he failed to adhere to the regulations of the clinical trial. The clinical trial required its participants to sign documents and was also time-framed. Cameron violated the two regulations that were set for the clinical trial.

Clinical trials aimed at treating genetic diseases like Huntington are mainly characterized by the ethical issue of patients’ confidentiality. Medical practitioners are required to observe heightened confidentiality in regards to patients’ information. However, the case of Hadley went contrary to the medics’ requirement of observing patients’ confidentiality. The lab technician who tested the results for Hadley revealed them to her seniors leading to her being fired. Genetic testing is harmful to the persons that are being tested. When medical results from a genetic testing turn out to be positive, self-esteem of the tested patients is negatively affected. Furthermore, when the patients’ results are mistakenly or deliberately revealed to other persons, then the tested patients might be discriminated against. In the business world, when one tests positive for a genetic disease, there are high chances of such a person being fired.
