Introduction
In essence, financial intelligence refers to the collection of information about the monetary affairs of entities of interest, to comprehend their nature and capabilities, and foresee their intentions. To witness the future success of a business as a manager, the three financial statements that should be understood are the income statement, balance sheet, and the cash flow statement. This article focuses on the understanding of the above financial statements and the big picture framework of financial results which are the factors such as competition, regulations, the economy, and changing customer needs.
The success of Mainframe Labs Company
Mainframe Labs Company is one of the most successful common software companies. The company has three marketing segments to distribute its services to the marketplace these are: the workhorse, Mercedes, and traveler. All these segments stands for a particular customer needs and wants, for instance, the workhorse subdivision has the leading group of clientele who want a PC for a diversity of workplace staffs to use, on the other hand, the Mercedes segment is searching for a rather high-performance mainframe to use in sophisticated applications such as engineering manufacturing , therefore, clients pay considerably more for high performance and on the traveler section customers are executives as well as salespeople who get to travel a great deal, thus the prices here are moderately sensitive(Cardotte, 2018). Thus each segment requires a different market strategy because of the difference in needs and wants of the customer. Mostly, numbers are literally one of the ways used by most companies to cook their books of records as they tend to record phantom sales and hide expenses (Karen, Joe & John, 2006). The success of Mainframe Labs Company was as a result of poor competition from other software companies by the vice of faking books of records. This gives it an opportunity to shoot up to maximize profits by offering quality services that satisfy customers’ needs. On the other hand opportunities for improvement are mostly from the views of customers’ needs and the need for upgrading the quality existing in the market to enhance efficiency. Merging and Conscious Capitalism
In the recent-past most companies are engaging in merging as part of their growth strategies to acquire new products, expand into new regions and have access to new customers (Rabobank, 2018). In addition, merging helps in the development of products in the sense that product development is expensive and risky but when two companies come up together they are able to cost shares the new project being invented at a less costly amount than when done by an individual company. On the other hand, the principles of conscious capitalism in Mainframe Labs Company have executed in that it exercises higher purposes beyond making money by engaging and energizing the customers and the employees (Klein, 2014). Secondly, it has the stakeholder orientation whereby they take into account the welfare of the stakeholders. Again it considers conscious leadership where leaders inspire loyalty and consistency of high performance. Finally, it takes into account the conscious culture by taking into account the value of peoples’ culture. If I was called in as a consultant for Mainframe Labs Company to provide recommendations to the company’s leadership, there are certain factors I would consider for the success of the company. Therefore, to increase the company success basing on numbers the key thing I would advise is satisfying the customers’ needs so as to boost the sales of the company and attract more customers. Peers response focused on the traveler marketing segment which has no priority because it focuses on executives and salespeople who travels a great deal, this segment needs to be revisited to ensure that it gets to customers attention as the workhorse and the Mercedes.
Conclusion
From the discussion of the main objectives it is clearly indicated that financial intelligence is the key to the success of every business, other factors such as competition, regulation and customers’ needs contributes a lot to the progress of the business, these factors should, therefore, be put into consideration to ensure maximum profits and continuous progress of the company.
