The Ku Klux Klan (KKK) refers to American white racist. The white supremacist targets the African-American population. The influence of group-thinking of a certain race or culture promotes a different perspective on other people in a nation ( Henslin et al., 2015) . The group tunnel vision of the white supremacists enables members of the KKK to consider other races in the US as a threat to their occupation and culture. The riot incidence, which occurred at the Pearson Park in Anaheim during a rally on Saturday, 27 th February 2016, demonstrated the distinction between the cultural perspectives of white supremacists and the people of color in the US. The whites at the Pearson Park rally hold that the whites are superior compared to the people of color in the country. The contradicting perspectives among the white supremacist and the African-Americans resulted in the quick escalation of violence at the rally. The attempt to restore peace in the area required the Anaheim police service to curb perpetuation of the riot at the rally.

Regardless of group ideologies or beliefs, they have the right to live a life free from physical violence. The US constitution permits peaceful demonstration in the country and protection of cultural heritage. Klan has the right to their beliefs and opinions; racial segregation opposes America’s constitutional provisions. Henslin et al. (2015), holds that c onflict theory illustrates that society includes a group of people competing for a limited resource. Though sharing residential areas demonstrates corporation between the whites and African-American, the white supremacists struggle for dominance over the people of color in the US. According to colonialism theory, the first industrialized nations had power over other nations globally ( Henslin et al., 2015) . The white supremacists consider the US as the most advanced state in history and continue to dominate the world’s industrialization and culture. Accordingly, the white supremacists consider their population as the superior race over the people of color in the US and globally. Subsequently, they intend to spread their supremacy and gain control over other races in the US.

In my opinion, the riot at the Pearson Park accrued from escalating tension between the protestors and the police officers because the police officers favored the white supremacists over the African-America during the rally and demonstration process. The riot at the Pearson Park rally demonstrates the effort of protestors to curb the desire of the white supremacists to subdue the African-American population in the country. The African-Americans intended to resist the effort of the white supremacists to exploit their constitutional right to equality regardless of their race. The resistance of the “white supremacy matters” resulted in African-American protesting against the whites at the Pearson Park rally in Anaheim ( Jackson, 2016) . The protest escalated to violence, and the Anaheim police officers assisted in ensuring a peaceful environment in the area. Consequently, the police department applied tear gas to disperse protestors to restore peace and order at the Pearson Park in Anaheim.

The Anaheim police officers applied excessive tear gas to curb the perpetuation of protest at the Pearson Park in Anaheim. In my opinion, the police officers used the unprovoked and unjustified mechanism to ensure the restoration of peace and order at the rally. Consequently, I suppose the Anaheim police officers protected the white supremacists at the Pearson Park rally. The police officers treated the protestors brutally and accompanied the KKK members to evade the confrontation.

The arrest of approximately twelve protestors affirms the Anaheim police intention to ensure restoration of peace and order in the region. However, the Anaheim police released five Klan members from the custody, claiming that they acted in self-defense against the counter-protestors, the African-American ( Jackson, 2016) . The ultimate release of the KKK members from the Anaheim police custody ascertains that the police intended to protect the white supremacist at the rally as opposed to ensuing peaceful demonstration of the African-American.
