To leverage the new sport facilities in my local to provide long-term health impacts to my local community, one of the strategies that I would utilize entails educating individuals on the importance of taking part in physical activities in line with guiding them about the ideal eating habits. I would also make sure that sports facilities take part in environmental cleanup exercises to ensure that the society is free from pollutants that affect people’s health (Stevens, 2017) . I would measure the effectiveness of these programs based on the number of individuals who realize improved health through taking part the physical exercises and eating healthy.
When serving as a member of the international organizing committee, the stipulations that I would put in the bidding documents to ensure that major events have positive health influences on the local community would entail the development of outdoor spaces and parks. This kind of initiative would be ideal in that it would encourage individuals to get outside and move, which would reduce the damaging influences associated with stress, reduce blood pressure, as well as foster psychological wellbeing (Stevens, 2017) . The initiative would be appropriate when supported by volunteer activities that would encourage the local community to take part in the process.
