When preparing for an event, several things are required to be factored in for it to be successful. The function should be safe from the beginning to the end. There are seven stages that must be looked into when preparing for an event.
First, the budget should be determined by breaking it into categories on areas to be spent on such as tents, chairs, printouts, nametags, security, and any other item required to facilitate the event (Raj, Walters, & Rashid 2017) . Some finances should be set aside for contingencies. After budgeting, one should know the audience preparing for them. If you are running a training, seminar, rally, or a conference, you need to know what the audience expects and security if it is dealing with dignitaries. The potential list of attendees, corporate clients, and security apparatus required should be prepared in advance (Raj, Walters, & Rashid 2017) .

Thirdly, the presenters or facilitators during the event should be hired or availed to carry out the actual coaching, teaching, or training relevant to the event. Engaging the right and competent presenter is paramount to providing expertise to the event to make it exciting and informative to the attendees. Selecting and confirming the venue for the event is the next step. If the event does not fit into a conference facility, then look for another place, which is convenient and can accommodate all the attendees (Allen 2009).
Securing suppliers is the fifth step, where those who will supply audio and visual equipment, caterers, notebooks, pens, and banners are sought. Planning the schedule is the sixth step after securing the venue, suppliers, and speaker. The organizers should plan on the arrival time, start time, breaks, and time for refreshments, end time, and schedule for the speakers or presenters. The program should be given to every participant in the event (Allen 2009).
Lastly, my thoughts about organizing an event are that all the details should be confirmed before the event starts, including security for the whole event (Raj, Walters, & Rashid 2017) . Confirmation of the details ensures everything appears as planned. It is one of the crucial steps that planners of events forget and can lead to a disorganized event.
