Introduction

Global warming is a challenging that many countries are being faced with falling the tremendous changes in climate that are affecting various aspects of the human and other living things. According to climatic researchers, analysts, and specialists, global warming is not only risking the lives of all living things on earth, but it has profoundly been contributed by human activities and engagement in various industrial and modern activities. Considering the risks at which the earth is subjected to and the possible anticipated impact of climatic changes that are directly affected by global warming, countries worldwide are coming up with measures and strategies that will be applied purposely to facilitate the reduction of the increase in heat or the destruction of the ozone level in the atmosphere. It is for these same reasons that various committees are formed to observe, analyze and come up with systematic structures that can be implemented to foresee protection of the planet.

From the summary report compiled by the Policymakers in the 2014 Climate Change meeting, some of the significant observations made included the fact that man is entirely behind the drastic changes in climate and its impact on the environment. Substantial cases are mostly on the increase in greenhouse gases emitted to the atmosphere from the industries and other related activities. Some of the critical impact observed from the global warming includes the diminishing of ice and snow especially on the polar regions, raised sea level and warmer oceans and the atmosphere. The rate at which these changes have taken place in the past three decades is higher and scientists argue that if nothing shall be done, the earth will slowly be submerged.

Ferdi Rizkiyanto’s (2014), the piece of art on global warming clearly indicates what is anticipated to transpire in case nothing shall be done to stop or reduce the rate at which the climate is heating. Furthermore, the artwork signifies the chain in which activities take place and how they affect each other. Since many agree that the sea levels are rising primarily due to the increased heat in the atmosphere and the oceans; it is inevitable for surrounding ice and snow to melt down. The aftermath is definitely the movement of the melting ice and snow to surrounding water bodies. As a result, these water bodies will evidently increase in mass causing them to move toward the land. Climatic analysts link this process to the increased cases of tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes.

As highlighted in the movie ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ (IMDb, 2006), the director Davis Guggenheim, creatively implements the biography of Al Gore a Vice President who makes use of his life to make amends on the effects of global warming to the earth. The aim of the movie is to impact its audiences on the need to act as quickly as possible since global warming is real and will destroy all that man has worked hard for over the decades.

Conclusion

The intensity of global warming and its impact on climatic changes has attracted the attention of everyone worldwide since the results of are a menace to life and better living. Some of the strategies being used by most countries include the reduction of emission of greenhouse gases through the use of renewable and other substantial forms of energy. While many countries are taking part in the reduction of atmospheric and oceanic warming caused by increased heat and use of unhealthy forms of energy, the process can be effective if all stakeholders including individuals citizens taking part. Moreover, it is ideal for involved parties to empower and educate people on the issue of global warming and highlight ways they can participate in the handling of the challenge.
