God created human beings with liberal minds giving them the ability to hold different views on issues. In the process of interacting we meet individuals whose views do not agree with ours. One of my friends is a Muslim and I remember one time we had an argument about religion. The interaction was fierce because I had difficulties in understanding why he could not see that Christianity was the true religion. I had challenges understanding his point of view because I understood so little about Islam religion. If I would have understood my friend’s worldview I would not have engaged in the fierce argument. Faith is what one believes and each religion has its own beliefs. If I understood the concept we would not have argued whose religion is superior.
Topic 1 DQ 2: Movie Resource
The movie discussed is “God is Not Dead”
One of the worldviews depicted in the movie “God is not dead” is that God is dead. Professor Radisson holds the view that God has never existed and thus he asks his class to proclaim that God is dead at the beginning of the semester. As a result, one student refuses to write down the phrase and a huge contest emanates from the disagreements. In the first three lessons of the class, the student presents his case that God exists while Professor Radisson reputes the statement by providing evidence that God is dead. The two individuals hold different worldviews but Professor Radisson does not respect the students’ freedom of choice. All students except Josh write on their papers that God is dead.
