Healthcare is an important social service to any society, and is in high demand. Due to the sensitivity of the service, if left out for market determination, it can easily be exploited by greedy businesspeople. One of the factors that government regulation must be involved in is on pricing. Failure to intervene by governments implies that the prices can skyrocket to a point where citizens are not able to afford healthcare. Drug tests, especially on humans, is also another perspective that government regulation is needed as it can easily be abused. The current regulation by the government is enough and should be increased with discoveries. There are new diseases and drugs which call for different regulations. The time perspective of laws, especially due to technology, should also be considered in reviewing laws set in previous decades.
Question Two:
To work in the healthcare sector, I feel that my impact would be felt more if I worked as a personnel manager. To work as a personnel manager means that I will have to work and manage the human resource function of an institution. Healthcare is a personalized service and, therefore, the need to have a personnel manager that provides a working environment that is conducive for these staff to perform their tasks to their best capability. I can deal with people on both a personal level and a professional level as well and therefore I feel that I would make a good personnel manager. I am also good at understanding people's perspective and in counselling which is important for a personnel manager working in the healthcare sector.

Question Three:
When reporting financial matters in the health sector various terms have so far been intimidating considering I do not have an accounting background. This does not, however, worry me, as I understand that the accounts department has to simplify reports to make them easy to understand by even people who do not have an accounting background. I am also confident that from the lessons I will take I will end up understanding majority of the terms. I also have a relative who is an accountant and I will sit with them for an explanation on some of the basic terms that I will need to understand. At the moment I am not very confident discussing financial performance in healthcare organizations. However, I believe once I put in place the discussed measures, I will be good to go.
