I have been currently involved in a group within my area was are expected to perform various tasks as a group. It normally took a lot of time, resources and sacrifice in order to ensure all the four main group stages have been completed well. As a 25-year-old nurse, I have been actively been involved in the various groups within the region in order to ensure maximum service delivery. Bruce Tuckman was the first person to come up with the four stages of groups such as forming, storming, norming and performing.

Forming

During our involvement with the community as a group offering the best health care services, our first stage was forming. During this stage, it normally presents a time where the group is starting and most of the members are very positive towards the group. Some of our members were anxious as they did not understand how to handle the elderly people while others were very excited (Brandler & Roman, 2015) . Every group member was introduced where we were able to share information concerning our background and experiences. In addition, during the forming stage, we were able to learn about the project we were to work on at the community level. I was appointed as the team leader where I was to provide the necessary directions and instructions concerning the project.

Storming

Storming stage, individuals will start to compete for acceptance of their ideas since they all have different opinions on what should be done. As members progress through my guidance, they were able to learn how to solve common problems within the region and also to function independently (Mayfield, 2016) . All their roles and responsibilities at this stage are very clear and well known. Members must be able to listen to the team leader and ensure there is no conflict that exists between them. At this stage, there will be few personal differences where people will tend to work in a different way hence differing in the working styles. All the members must be fully committed to being an active member and ensure they are able to perform their duties in the best way possible.

Norming

Next, our group was able to move to norm stage where people will start to resolve their issues and differences as well as respect the authority. Since team members now know each other, they are able to socialize in the best way possible and engage in constructive feedback. They were able to develop a stronger commitment as a team in order to ensure the success of better service delivery in the region (Pinto, Lourenço & Mónico, 2017) . However, this was the main stage where our group was stuck since most of the members were from different regions with different cultures hence there was a high level of conflicts and lack of understanding. It was my duty to ensure proper reconciliation of the team.

Performing

Since our group was very clear about our roles, it was possible to move to perform stage where the group becomes fully united. At this stage, their morale was always high since the members were able to acknowledge different talents and skills that every member brings to the group. Therefore, it is able to establish a sense of belonging in order for the group to always remain focused on the main goal and mission (Purwanto, Zuiderwijk & Janssen, 2018) . As the leader, I was able to delegate much of the work and hence ability to concentrate on developing and motivating team members. Due to the high level of commitment and teamwork, our group was able to attain success and hence achievement of the set goal in the market. We were, therefore, able to serve the community in the best way possible in the region of operation.
