Question 1
The videos have helped me understand the concepts from the readings. I have correctly understood the Future search method. In the video, Dr. Sandra Janoff helps manage a future search by bringing together people who have different perspectives about different issues and helping them understand what they want. By bumping ideas off each other, they can learn about themselves and also appreciate other people. In the end, some may be confused while others get to understand themselves more. Leaders are available in the room to help people after the outcome of the meeting.
Open source is a system that brings people together to do an activity to solve a problem. In this video, Harrison Owen talks about systems being self-organizing. He likens this to the definition of chaos, which he says it's not just a state of confusion but a precondition for proper organization. Harrison Owen goes ahead to say that we should take advantage of the chaos for it enables us to know the future and also helps us to renew and reorganize after it. He briefly puts it as no chaos, no order.

Question 2
The video is organized and well presented, illustrated well by Dr. Sandra Janoff, who introduces the Future Search concept. In the video, she talks about the idea of bringing people together into a room to articulate issues that affect them and help them understand each other. Afterward, she talks about how important this is in life scenarios, e.g., in an office setting, solving natural crises, and helping us make better decisions in life.
Harrison Owen, on the other hand, sheds light on how we can ride the wave of chaos. We can use it to our advantage to determine how we act going forward. Chaos is a precondition for order, and sometimes, the order process may not involve a person in charge, no laid-out plan, or training. Therefore, it disregards all principles of proper management and further goes to show that systems are self-organizing.
