The first step is identifying and confirming personal happiness. If happiness is established then it’s good to go. Nevertheless, if it is not identified at all then adjusting on a few things is of essence. People implicate certain hindrances that deter them from endorsing pleasure and contentment. They are inclined to them as if it is a necessity for living this phenomenon renders one’s life on jeopardy. The first thing to dismissing these barriers is letting go of the resentment. The other thing that people ought to do is develop a positive mindset. Having a positive mindset does not confirm happiness at all times or when the situation turns out to be otherwise. However, it allows one to have a positive view of things and have a glimpse of the perky side of something. Furthermore, it allows one to learn a lesson from a given situation hence avoiding the occurrence of the same situation in the future. Letting people to regulate themselves provides a societal sense of belonging. A good example is allowing one’s kids to make their own decisions provided their choices do not go beyond the societal set standards or do not jeopardize their safety. On the same line, letting others control their lives may encompass the allowance of independence and a sense of autonomy. In that logic, autonomy may come as a result of letting people have financial freedoms and allowing them to choose what to do with their money.

Perhaps, psychopaths will not be impacted in any way in the reception culmination of a kind gesture. However, normal people from the general populace would feel the impact and respond with a lot of pleasure and contentment.

Giving other peoples’ idea an ear or listening to others will help them feel some pleasure and a sense of serenity. Quite a significant number of people like their ideas to be given some kind of priority, otherwise they are put off. Therefore, it is of significance to listen and comment on the ideas of others. In the case of commenting, it is better to comment positively and where correction is required. It is also wise to rectify a person and at the same time show a lot of care and concern. Giving people a portion of your time just to chat and unload things of their side can be very satisfying and can instigate a lot of inclination and gratification in both parties.

On the other hand, Adam Grant says that helping others get success and land on happiness, as well as, get meaning in their lives is what leads to happiness in the case of a giver. In simple terms, Adam meant that helping others makes the giver happy. In his book Give and Take, Grant says that there is a reward in finding ways to sandwich personal interest and skills with the requirements and necessities of other people. According to Adam, noble giving in the deficiency of preservation instinct definitely becomes devastating. Therefore, it is of utmost significance to be “Otherish” which simply means, having the will to give more than what you receive but at the same time preserving and upholding personal interest.
