The decision to only involve the senior management in the 5-year strategic plan will not be effective in realizing the goals set by facility. This is because in most cases, the senior management does not engage directly with the patients hence they may not have the capacity to understand the needs of the aging adults. Instead, the facility can engage the entire team for better outcomes (Gębczyńska, 2016). This is because all departments are directly involvement in the welfare of the aging adults on a daily basis. Effective communication to the staff members about the set strategies is essential in promoting ownership, responsibility and accountability among staff.
To ensure a successful implementation of the strategy in the assisted living facility, it is important to ensure the strategy is aligned to the facility’s core values and missions, which is to provide the best care possible for the aging adults. By doing this, the facility is bound to gain a competitive advantage over its competitors and at the same time enjoy a sustainable growth (Gębczyńska, 2016).
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Secondly, illustrating to the entire department the roles and accountability expected from them in making the implementation process successful is also key. Thirdly, I would then establish a clear and open communication network across the entire facility, that is, from the top most management to the specific departments (Gębczyńska, 2016). Establishing an open and clear communication line can help in ensuring the questions and issues concerning the strategy are effectively addressed ( Gębczyńska, 2016). Lastly, I would allocate appropriate resources to each department depending on their specific needs. In this case, I will ensure that all departments receive sufficient resources through the finance department. The funds should cater to specific needs necessary in assisting the aging adults in undertaking their daily activities including bed ladders, splints, long-handled sponges and dressing sticks.
