Every country has a unique healthcare system that may exhibit similarities and differences with other states. Exploring Canada's healthcare system compared to the United States will help understand the world's different healthcare systems. The Canadian healthcare system provides every citizen with preventative and medical treatments. Additionally, all citizens in Canada are eligible to apply for universal healthcare coverage without discrimination. However, each province in Canada has its medical coverage plan. The citizens may access healthcare services freely, notably in cases of a medical emergency, payment through cash, or government health card (Dhalla & Tepper, 2018). However, in most incidences, people pay for healthcare through universal insurance health coverage. Corporate and household taxes fund the Canadian health system. Canadians are charged high taxes to pay for their medical coverage.

Canada's healthcare quality service provision is low compared to most high-income countries. For instance, the healthcare system fails to attend to Canadians on time for non-emergent medical care (Dhalla & Tepper, 2018). Additionally, Canadians' healthcare service quality appears to be low because some patients suffer from preventable conditions due to unsafe care. These findings show some weaknesses and cons of the Canadian healthcare system. One of the significant disadvantages of the Canadian healthcare system is patients are forced to wait for long before being attended to by a physician, which may lead to further complications of their health. Secondly, the health care system is not equally distributed. People in rural areas are most likely to experience low healthcare services. However, the system also possesses significant pros like universal healthcare coverage that does not discriminate against any citizen. Furthermore, since the system aims to conduct preventative measures, it facilitates public awareness programs that educate people to live a healthy life through various lifestyle modifications. Additionally, the Canadian system applies technology to conduct research and develop vaccinations, improving citizens' lives through preventative measures.

Comparison between Canada and USA's Healthcare System

The USA and Canada's healthcare systems share some similarities and differences. Medical care in both countries is expensive. The United System invests high capital in incorporating medical technology, subsequently, increases the costs of medical care (Batnitzky et al., 2018). Additionally, in the two countries, patients must wait for long before physicians attend to them. However, the two healthcare systems illustrate some distinction: Canada's system provides health coverage while the United States does not. The United States healthcare system applies advanced technology (Batnitzky et al., 2018). On the contrary, Canada's system uses limited technology.
