I believe that having a deeper understanding or awareness of creativity will make me to maneuver through the various challenges, which I may encounter when pursuing my goals and attaining my mission. Sometimes I think stating goals and having a mission statement is one of the easiest things; the hardest bit is to implement the various tasks and actions to reach these goals. I have to find ways of doing these tasks effectively to attain the ultimate goal. Therefore, the creative process involves getting enough inspiration and strength to find ways through the various tasks. At an individual level, I always believe that creativity mostly comes when I stop worrying too much about the tasks at hand. Sometimes I can just take a nature walk, cycle along a road with less traffic or travel to a place. That way, my mind wanders through so many things, and sometimes brilliant ideas just come by unexpectedly. I think creativity comes from the subconscious mind (the part of the mind that dreams) rather than the conscious (Liu, 2019). Creativity helps me to expand my cone of vision, where I look at things with a broad perspective. Slowly but surely, I believe the integration of fun and sheer determination will always make me to accomplish my goals and mission.
My mission statement has not changed since I wrote it. I am determined to accomplish all the things I stated in the mission statement. I think changing the mission statement shows that I am not dedicated and disciplined to achieve what I want. Before writing the mission statement, I thought about the things I wanted to accomplish keenly, and evaluated them regarding whether I could accomplish them or not. Therefore, I wrote the statement after a clear assessment of my abilities, and the tasks at hand. I was therefore focused on accomplishing all the tasks.
