Good evening to you all. Thank you for this opportunity you have given me to relay my heartfelt condolence to the family of John Proctor, his wife and children, and to the larger Salem society. It is sad and challenging to eulogize a man whose strong character almost made me think of him as being immortal. John Proctor is truly an honest man both to himself and his people. Proctor's last actions on the world remind me of the strong man I have always known him to be. He always appreciated the truth at the height of his confidence. By tearing his confession, John Proctor projects to us his willingness to die in courage other than to live in the guilty of sin. Proctor's value for truth should inspire the Salem society to demonstrate courage in protecting whatever we think is true.

To Elizabeth Proctor, we all understand that this is a difficult moment for you and the kids. Please accept my felt condolence for your loss. Although John Proctor's actions at times were mean, it is my strong belief that John Proctor loved his people, including you and the children. Elizabeth, you should depict the same courage John Proctor illustrated by forgiving him for his decision, which you could be objected. Proctor's demise has saved him from the torment of his mistakes, and it is honorable for everyone to live up to that truth. The life of John Proctor as we lived with him has gone both great times and tribulations, yet all alone, John emerges strong enough to value the truth and justice other than his life.

To us all, the death of John Proctor represents the value for honesty, and my challenge is that we should emulate search courage as a tribute and honor to the fallen loyalists of Salem. The death of John Proctor coming at this stage in life reveals the prevailing of goodwill and the value for truth in the crucible.
