The information security sector is a crucial area in the Information Technology (IT) department. The importance of overestimating the budget in the IT area is that the department can run smoothly, grow, and transform (Soco-Acosta et al., 2016). Therefore, the department must ensure that the hard drives are free from risks of exposure to viruses using the current means, which may not be adequate (Mijnhardt et al., 2018). All programs in the systems should thoroughly scan frequently so that the information security sector can be assured of surviving on a low budget (Soco- Acosta, 2016). Conclusively, having a budget cut is expected to have a significant impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
