First Story

ABCO is using a corporate structure with different departments in one company. Candace works at the public relation division, which indicates this company has different divisions that are part of it. There are superiors who handle management duties across the departments, and able to monitor work and grant promotions.

Britney is using commanding leadership power. She wants her word to be final and to be followed to the letter. She does not allow Candice to highlight any of her thoughts when she calls her to office. This method is not effective since it makes workers feel uncomfortable around their bosses. It is also inconsiderate since she does care how her orders might affect Candice’s relations with others.

Candice does not seem to have any alternatives since by taking appropriate action, she risks ruining relationship with her colleagues. However, by failing to act, she risks being linked with acts of favouritism taking place in the office. She is in a dilemma and does not know what choice to make.

Organizations are socially responsible for their internal workforce’s wellbeing by ensuring that they work in a free environment with open and equal chances for every employee.

Second Story

Charles is given the auditing task to perform on his own despite only being at the company for 2 years. A group of people to discuss the auditing would be important since they would be able to share inputs in what to add and what to change.

Butterfly Corporation has a poor corporate culture where it seems employees do not respect the company values. Employees have been cutting corners trying to make a little bit more money. This is in turn costing the company a lot of money to reacquire for smooth operations.

Charles should take an honest survey and tell the situation as it is without protecting anyone to make the company look good. This will help them to deal with the dishonest employees and salvage some of the money that has been lost.
