Question 1
My research question is, "How does the loss of a job affect a man's role as a father?" This research paper establishes how a father's role is influenced when he loses a job. Three variables would be significant and can be measured to understand the job loss and the father's role. The variables include the father's response to the job loss, the mother's response to job loss, and elements of their roles. A survey will be necessary for households with fathers who lost their jobs in the past two years. The members of the family will be resourceful in giving information regarding the impact of job loss. Establishing the mental health of the fathers who lost their jobs would be a challenge, especially as it regards to how that affected their roles as fathers (Hilger, 2016; Adams & Lawrence, 2018). There will be a need to seek the consent of the respondents before they participate in the study. The confidentiality of the information obtained from the respondents will be considered and honored .
Question 2
The respondents would be selected through a random sampling method. The strength of this method is that the sample will represent the target population and not allow a sampling bias. Such a sampling method would allow equal and recognized chances for any family to participate. The weakness of this sampling method is that it is challenging to identify each member of the population, so the pool of available participants become biased (Gordon, 2019). The research question could also be rephrased to, "What emotional and physical changes occur in a father when he loses his job?"

Question 3
My experience with statistics is that I have learned various principles in the research process that would help me determine what data and conclusions are reliable. I have also developed critical thinking and analytical skills that are helpful in research. Statistical results in studies have so much credibility because of the precise implementation of statistical principles (Gordon, 2019). When the principles are honored, the analyses done would also amount to accurate outcomes and conclusions.
