Technology in the modern world has highly enhanced and promoted the idea of social movement. In most of the nations experiencing a dictatorial form of governance, the chances of equal human rights and freedom of expression play a significant factor to promote and pass the voice of many to the entire world.

How important is technology in countries that have limited freedom of assembly?

Technology has been used to convey most of the information to the society where countries have limited rights to reach the community. According to (McKay, 2017) , information is regarded as “power and anyone in possession of this information is regarded as powerful as ever.” in this case, some of the leaders opposed the situation by violating the rights of communication, where obstruction to convey vital information to the mass audience is hindered. In this case, social media is a weapon that is highly incorporated to expose the evil-doing by the leaders.

The United States has a rich political culture regarding in the advocacy of the human right globally, due to a high violation of human rights by the Iraq government, this gave rise to political advocacy to venture in the foreign land to ensure that the lives of innocent Iraq civilians are spared.

Technology may have profoundly contributed and facilitated the birth of the war between the US and Iraq. To begin with, the United States had their private investigator who sourced secrete and valuable information about the evil-doing of the Iraq government and how the human violation was being oppressed. Through this, the US gained quite useful information that after analysis gave them the decision to have a strong point of decision to venture into war advocating for the human rights.

On the other hand, the public had a considerable contribution to this war, by pushing and airing information through the media to educate organization about their deprived rights.

Have you ever been in a social movement that was based on an electronic network?

My experience in to promote the rights of the women was highly reinstated by the use of technology to fight and advocate for the right of the oppressed female gender in Senegal and most of the West African countries. The social norms and cultures that hinder the women from having a political occupation or say in the modern society is still a common war in most of the African and Asian nations. Through “Give the women a change,” which was the organization and a social movement that helped to advocate for the right and equity of the women in the society. In this movement, our reliable source of communication and awareness creation was based on the social media, which helped to facilitate a quick message within a short period. Furthermore, the use of this technology highly facilitated the gathering of data from the community to determine the support from different groups of people.

How political culture affected policy preferences.

Political power has significant importance in the determination of the policy preferences. Different political culture has had its piece of share in the contribution to policymaking. In addition to the above statement, Political culture entails social beliefs, value and social norms that profoundly define the interrelationship between the government and the native citizens of the country. As stipulated by McKay (2017), politicians have the mandate to forester new rules and government policies that are used to govern and spearhead the nation. As a matter of fact, the police made are profoundly affected and determined by the political organization and culture of the government. Furthermore, the economic growth of a country is highly influenced and defined by the political culture. The political culture of the United States highly characterized the decisions to venture into the war.

Conclusion

In the bottom line, politics play a key role in determining the policies that will govern the country. More some, technology has facilitated social movements by far to create more awareness to the community and the entire world.
