The author's arguments will be beneficial in literature study because the article concept about the nature of organizational behavior advances the knowledge of management strategies and policies that need to be implemented to improve organization effectiveness and efficiency. The articles assume that the organizational behavior can be characterized by nine approaches. In the behavioral approach, organization behavior defines the strengths and weakness of the whole company. Secondly, human behavior is influenced by the cause and effect relationship, and hence the behavior can be predicted based on response to the existing circumstance. Thirdly, it is influenced by several social sciences that influence all aspects of human life mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually including technology. Fourthly, organizational behavior encompasses the study of individual behavior, inter-individual behavior and the behavior of organizations themselves. Furthermore, the organization is both an art and science because the study of human behavior is a science whereas the application of behavioral knowledge and skills is an art. Moreover, the understanding of human behavior solves problems that affect an organization, and the study and organizational behavior create an atmosphere whereby both organization and employees benefit mutually. Lastly, organizational behavior provides rational thinking about people and their behavior as it explains and predicts human behavior in organizations.
Although good points are articulated in this article, the problem with the highlighted arguments is that organizational behavior does not benefit the company employee at all times. This argument does not give concrete guidance on how an employee gains satisfaction from the company based on the Maslow theory. Therefore, the argument presented by the author shows some presence of bias and prejudice because it does not explain how an employee can be motivated to exhibit behavior that improves the effectiveness of an organization. This weakens the author's argument and reduces the article credibility, and therefore, much research should be done on the topic.
