Data Analysis Plans
For the demographic variables, which reflect on the descriptive statistical tests, the plan for data analysis reflects on the measure of frequency. Measure of frequency considers the count, percentage, and frequency, when evaluating given variables in a bid to ensuring that the data is well presented (Mertler & Reinhart, 2016). In this case, the study seeks to consider between 10 and 15 children as its main participants; thus, highlighting the value of having to measure the frequency of the different variables. The use of this data analysis plan would serve as a guarantee for effective presentation of demographic variables for the participants selected in the study. That will help in determining specific aspects associated with the participants including age, gender, and race among others. The measure of frequency will ensure that the data associated with the participants is well presented with the intention being towards improving on the general possibility of reaching a valid conclusion.
For the study variables, which reflect on both descriptive and inferential statistical tests, the data analysis plan reflects on the use of maxdiff analysis. Maxdiff analysis seeks to gauge respondents’ preference when focusing on different study variables to help in the effective development of valid conclusions (Lipovetsky, 2018). In this case, the study seeks to determine the extent to which pet therapy would be of value when dealing with autistic children. By using the maxdiff analysis, the study will seek to present multiple datasets with the focus being towards understanding the development rates for children without pets in comparison with datasets for children that go through pet therapy. The idea is having to understand the difference between the datasets as a way of determining the validity of using pet therapy as an approach through which to help improve on skill development for autistic children.
