The two chapters demonstrate the need for speakers to attain efficacy and effectiveness in their speech presentations. These chapters are effective in allowing a presenter understand what he or she should do to make a powerful presentation and handle any arising questions and situations in the most professional and practical manner (College of the Canyons, 2017). The chapters illustrate that a powerful presentation requires personal coaching and assessment with the aim of correcting any failures and enabling the audience to seek clarifications through questions to presenters. Imperatively, a presenter must assess all these areas and prepare for effective and inspiring speech delivery to their audiences (Koch & Schmitt, 2014). 

Summary 

The two chapters discuss how speakers should address different types of questions from their audiences and evaluate the outcomes of their speeches; especially their effective delivery. Chapter on Q&A with Authority emphasizes the need for a speaker not to dread questions from his/her audience after speaking because it is inevitable part of any presentation (Booher, 2011). Rather, the chapter offers critical tips on how presenters should handle the question and answer sessions with complete confidence. The chapter states that presenters need to use critical tips to overcome their worries, accuracy of their information, and being apprehensive about how to handle certain types of questions like hostile questions. Therefore, the chapter provides helping tips like setting boundaries during the session, deciding if to repeat questions or not, freedom to answer or not, and listening keenly to each question among other tips. Therefore, presenters need to note all these situations to position themselves better in responding to questions. Further, chapter 16 emphasizes the need for a speaker to have self assessment on the delivery of their presentations. The chapter notes that self-evaluation and coaching have the potential to turn failures into success (Booher, 2011). Personal evaluation and coaching by colleagues make the difference between failure and success in speech presentation (Stone, 2017).
