Since the 9/11 attack, most skyscrapers and large buildings have developed plans to help in evacuation in case of other attacks similar to this attack. For large buildings and skyscrapers, an attack leads to intense confusion of officeholders, a commotion that leads to the loss of numerous lives. In the wake of these attacks, Rescorla had developed strategies on how to evacuate officeholders in the WTC building. In his plan, he helped the employees learn evacuation techniques and the whole process of evacuation (Bullock, Haddow, & Coppola, 2017). Today, management in skyscrapers and large buildings can adopt new methods of averting deaths arising from terrorist attacks.

In ensuring that they are ready for an attack, offices must provide strict and efficient communication guidelines between the safety teams and the officeholders. Education and sensitization on safety should be randomly done in these offices. Education helps reduce the tension involved in attacks. The education would entail assuring the workers that the building is strong enough and can only fall after a specific duration (Olofsson, 2018). This exercise should involve showing all the officeholders the available exits, the procedures to be followed after an attack, and the establishment of better safety measures within the buildings. The buildings’ management should provide every office with a map of the building, a condition that will help all the holders understand the building. During an attack, the officeholders can use the various exits provided in the structural maps.

Persuasion of reluctant employees towards joining training could lead to fatal outcomes, as witnessed in the attack. In persuading them, the use of ethos, pathos, and logos could help critically. For instance, you could tell them of the looming dangers of being victims of the attack, and how their death could affect their children. Additionally, you could tell them how important they are to the building, and losing them to terrorism would be a massive setback for the society. The safety management leader could also provide statistics showing the percentage of survivors in situations where prior training has been done. The persuasive messages could also include the use of governmental recommendations on training, use of prominent people’s messages on training. By using these three techniques in messages, it will be easier to persuade all the officeholders to participate in the practice.

During this attack, a bomb was detonated in the North Tower, to crash this tower towards Tower 2. Being a military expert, Rescola understood this bomb was explicitly used to test the strength of the building, the probability of falling towards the other bomb, and to shift the attention of the safety teams towards inspection and ground safety. The other people did not understand the concept of “prodrome.” This is because they were focused on understanding the impacts of the attack rather than making an analysis of all the dynamics of the attack.

Established by William Benoit, this theory helps in the restoration of the tainted image of people. Different publics have developed various strategies to cope with crises. The organization should understand the image restoration strategies for all the people within an organization (Nazione & Perrault, 2019). Using these strategies, the organization should then develop messages that can fit the public’s crisis handling capability. Sending different messages helps in reaching the various publics effectively by considering their reaction to the messages.
