What are some specific emotional reasons people may reject the Christian gospel?

One of the emotional reasons people may reject the Christian gospel is the feeling that one is not good enough for the gospel. Most people feel that the gospel is meant for a few chosen people who have certain special characteristics ( Hindson, 2017) . Another emotional reason people reject the gospel is when calamity occurs such as death. Some people believe their prayers were unanswered and this makes them to lose faith in the gospel.

What are some specific intellectual reasons people may reject the Christian gospel?

One of the intellectual reasons which make people to reject the Christian gospel is the lack of tangible evidence about the existence of Jesus. Another reason is that there is no academic proof of faith ( Weider, 2014) . That it is not possible to prove many of the things mentioned in the gospel makes many intellectuals to reject it.

What can Christians do to address these objections and better communicate the Christian gospel?

Christians can address these objections through reading and understanding the world of God. Many of the objections arise because people lack knowledge of the word of God (Schreiter, 2015). Having a good understanding of the word will enable Christians to provide clear explanations and biblical evidences to support the claims of the gospel.
