Over history, the internet has been commonly useful in many sectors. However, this benefit is not suitable for countering Terrorism ( Miller & Stivachtis, 2019) . The internet's introduction has been advantageous for many of them because it has always enhanced their general organization ( Miller & Stivachtis, 2019). Some of the issues that have improved Terrorism through the internet include spreading propaganda, financing roles of the internet, training, planning, and cyber attacks.
Propaganda
The development of the internet is an issue that made it easy for different organizations to spread propaganda ( Miller & Stivachtis, 2019). Therefore, this effect has made them become organized as they spread messages that promote violence and division between people. Some terrorists pretend to be mass media in misleading many online audiences. Incitement has been easier since the introduction of the internet, hence promoting terror.

Financial Support
Different criminal organizations cannot run without finances; the internet made it easier for most of them to collect money for their operations ( Miller & Stivachtis, 2019). Most of the criminal organizations pretend to be charity organizations and receive donations from innocent people. The groups also use the internet to pay for different services over the internet.
Training, Planning, and Cyberattacks
Training through the internet has been possible for organizations belonging to criminals; some publish magazines that teach people how to participate in crimes. An excellent example of such is the "Inspire" magazine that allegedly belongs to the Al-Qaida group (Zuberi, 2018). Another effect of the internet is that it has made criminals always plan before carrying out their operations (Zuberi, 2018). Cyber-attacks have enabled some of them to access various organizations and control operations in them (Zuberi, 2018).
In general, this context helps understand that the internet has been impactful in its role in the spread of propaganda, criminal financing groups, training and recruitment, planning for the attack, and indulging in cyber attacks. Even if this development has been beneficial to many sectors, it has posed a security challenge for many countries worldwide. There is a need for the defense mechanisms to use the platform to prevent the activities mentioned above.
