Crime is a major problem in the country, particularly in low-income communities. It is in the best interest of all stakeholders to reduce the crime rates in the country. The Department of Justice and other organizations have heavily invested in research to identify the best methods to reduce crime in the society. Restorative practices are one method suggested that could reduce crime in society (Murphy, 2018) . Restorative practices involve engaging in activities that repair and improve relationships in society. This research will explore the effectiveness of healthy communities in reducing the rates of crime, increasing social capital, and reducing antisocial behavior among members of the community. What are the major adaptation challenges faced by inmates after rejoining the community, and what can be done to reduce them? After being released from prison, the inmates experience a hard time adjusting to the newly gained freedom (Li, 2018) . The ex-prisoners experience different challenges, particularly in terms of lifestyle. Often, society takes time to accept that an ex-prisoner is reformed, which causes them a hard time. In addition, most of these individuals find it hard to secure employment because of being ex-cons. These challenges may influence them to commit crimes to meet their daily needs. This research will investigate these challenges and the solution to them. The public has different opinions regarding professionals in criminal justice. This perception may have a huge influence on criminal investigation cases, particularly where public cooperation is required (Roberts, 1992) . If the public has a negative perception towards the professionals, they may be less cooperative compared to when they have positive perceptions. This research will investigate the importance of public opinion toward criminal justice professionals.
