What is the hypothesis of the article?

The hypothesis if the article is that artificial microRNA silencing of  C. reinhardtii METH  expression leads to nearly complete loss of cobalamin-mediated enhancement of thermal tolerance. The researchers hypothesized the beneficial interaction between the alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and certain bacterial species influence the ability of the bacteria C. reinhardtii any change in it an abiotic environment that might be lethal to the bacteria.

In which two sections of this research did you find the authors’ hypothesis?

Introduction, this is where their researchers are trying to identify the variable, relationship and the independent and depending on the variable. Further, it is the part that sets the tone of the paper.

Methods and materials, the section provides adequate information about the article as the instrument used to defined and test the hypothesis are found here. The part contains the technical details to support the hypothesis.

What were two of the independent variables described in the “Thermal tolerance essay” subsection of the materials and methods?

Independent variables are those that can be changed by the scientist, and they are:

Temperature, the scientists can adjust the temperature from low to high to observe the behavior bacteria’s at different temperatures.

85% saline solution, the salinity of the solution can either be diluted or concentrated to determine the behavior of the bacteria at various concentrations.

What were two of the dependent variables (units not needed) described in the “Thermal tolerance assay” subsection of the Materials and methods?

The dependent variables are those things that the researchers focus on their observations to determine hey they respond to the change of the independent variables.

Chlamydomonas

C. reinhardtii

What were two of the control variables described in the “Thermal tolerance assay” subsection of the Materials and methods?
