In as much as the truth may be cold and brutal, the fact remains that the current generation is obsessed with fame and power than actual prosperity and success. Thanks to the internet and the idol worship in the showbiz industry, every child, now more than ever, dreams all the time of interacting with a famous person. This could be their showbiz idols or successful persons in the society, but the fact remains that the current generation is one very lazy generation that they would prefer to rub shoulders with the high and mighty because according to them, the power does all the work. The minds of the millennials are so convoluted and twisted up that they have not only lost the meaning of hard work and success, but they have also detached themselves from the society. The generation today is one that has built the perfect ideal world in their minds and has moved from actual interactions to virtual interactions. This is because of the fear of the truth. The millennials are so used to being right and feeling good about themselves to the extent that they have detached from the cold hard facts of the society to the more doctored virtual affirmations through the internet (Stein, 2013). Many people would argue that technology has facilitated so many aspects of the human life, such as providing more efficient and reliable means of production, which this article does not dispute in any way. But of the adverse effects, the advancement in technology has brainwashed the millennial into believing they can do, or become anything they want to become in life. It is not wrong to have aspirations. But these dreams have to be practical, realistic, and the person with such visions must lay down specific strategies into achieving this. However, the current generation is one that lives in euphoria in a world of fantasy where the only people who belong are themselves and their "fans."

The Greatest Generation has to be the generation that had the most impact on all humanity. It is not a pun that they are considered the greatest or the most influential generation because of the generation name. But it is because of the impact they had on society. Born in the early 1900s, this generation is considered the start of the modern phase because they brought a touch of modernity into the civilization that had already been established (Paulin, 2018). This generation witnessed a high number of business investors who played a significant role in stabilizing the economy of their countries, created jobs and improved the general standards of living. But it is not just for the economic expansion that they are famous. This generation was highly idealistic in the sense that it recognized the role unity and teamwork played in fostering development in the society. The society back then must have been more grounded in love and support than the communities that came after it. The era of civilization, in as much as it is regarded as one of the most critical generations because of the milestone achievements associated with it, it did not fully embrace communism (Paulin, 2018). It advocated for open systems and equal opportunities for all, although the individuals back then did not really play their brother's keepers, which is what set Generation G apart. This generation realized the role each member played in fostering development, each in their own capacities, and so it rooted for diversity and inclusion. Such an approach is very critical in any society because it allows every member the opportunity to contribute and be productive without pressuring them to be as capable or competent as those around them, as far as the push for equality is concerned. Generation G mastered the art of moderation in every aspect.

It is sad to see how misled the current generation is in their pursuit of frail success. If this mindset is not addressed adequately in good time, then a few years from now the society will be totally misled, and the desire for affirmation and fame will take on a more drastic approach, which might include in very extreme cases eliminating those individuals who hold different ideologies, also considered opposers or negative energy. The article in question admits the fact that each generation thinks it is always better than their successor, and as such, it is almost natural that this argument indicates a more lazy, misled and delusional generation in the next couple of years (Stein, 2013). However, it is essential to observe that it is not all about one generation thinking it is better than the next; it is about basing observations on studies and trends to examine the pattern. Based on the trend observed through the last few decades, the issue of delusion and misled insights has been taking a more extreme approach, in which the society today is lazier, more selfish and shallower than it was yesterday, and will be worse tomorrow than it is easy today. This argument, therefore, observes, with remorse, that unless the current generation is redirected on the right path before the sun goes down, then tomorrow it will wake up a more confused generation unable to tell their right from their left. The line between dreams, ambitions, and reality is growing thinner by the day, and unless it is made more transparent in the minds of the technology-obsessed millennials, then sooner than the society anticipates shall the line wipe out, and the community will be faced with a generation that believes all they need is to post one funny meme on social media and live the rest of their lives as accomplished superstars.
