As a manager at Jin’s company, I will create a conducive environment where team members are free to share the challenges they face at a workplace . Through this, individuals’ personalities will be identified as well. Again, I will have a one on one discussion with Jin to discuss some of the expected challenges at the Company. I will also ensure availability of the cross-culturally competent team leader, ( Flynn, Castellanos, & Flores-Andrade, 2018) who in one way or the other will identify some of the challenges faced by employees from different cultures like Jin. Finally, I will spend more time building relationships and trust among employees so that they are free to share their issues affecting them at the workplace . These in one way or the other will Increase awareness of the challenges faced by team members from different cultures within the Company.

To make the team norms explicit, I will regularly organise for staff orientation on the team norms through which employees interact freely and express their challenges at the workplace . This will also help to identify staff like Jin who in one way or the other is likely to be affected by the standard operating procedures within the Company, ( Bucher, & Bucher, 2004)

As a manager, I will make every effort to ensure that a conducive environment is created in which employees feel accepted and respected, ( Bucher, & Bucher, 2004). For people like Jin, I will ensure that there is a secret box where one can drop any concern, they have that may be affecting their lives at the workplace which I will respond appropriately.

Staff professional development is vital and part of learning processes at any given workplace. As a manager, I will always ensure that employees undertake any staff development course such as understanding cultural differences, ( Bucher, & Bucher, 2004) among employees and to build their cultural language skills as well as to provide the team members with opportunities to develop their cultural language skills.
