Treating a celebrity in a particular, manner because one is their fun is unethical to a large extent. Ethically, there are several aspects that will be questionable in the situation where as a correction officer, I bring special and extra food to the individual in question as well as allow him to have an additional library as well as recreation time. Personal values that will be questioned by his fellow inmates include honesty, justice as well as equality. Honesty because as an officer, one is required to act true to top management as well as adhere to workplace policies in relation to how to treat all inmates. Justice because in treating one inmate differently from the others, it would be an injustice to the others since prison is a correctional facility where all inmates are to be treated according to the rules and regulations that govern such facilities. Lastly, discrimination because all inmates have equal rights to food as well as fair time for recreational facilities access. This is stipulated by the law (O'donnell, 2004).The above would only differ under circumstances where the type of crime and the sentence given to an individual do not conform to these specifications.

Ethically, the first undertaking would be to stop treating the particular prisoner in any peculiar manner. Besides, it would also be essential to apologize to the rest of the inmates for acting in an unacceptable manner. Although the above, especially apologizing could be considered difficult, it is crucial because of a few reasons. First of all, without stopping such behavior, other inmates are likely to complain to the higher authority, an occurrence that is likely to lead to losing the job. Besides, stopping the act means adhering to the rules and guidelines as well as policies that guide interaction between correction officers and the inmates. This hence means being principled and true to duty-related requirements. On the other hand, apologizing to the rest of the inmates who must have been offended by such behavior is likely to influence them to perceive me as a responsible officer who is ready to own up to personal mistakes. Respect from the inmates is hence likely to be earned.
