It is obvious that there are divergent views when it comes to the issue of prostitution. Some people would argue that it is demeaning and aids in spreading STIs and violence. People with the contrary opinion would argue that it is liberating as it gives the women the opportunity to ‘control themselves’. Having watched Denis Hof, a self-proclaimed “Brothel King” and owner of Moonlite Bunny Ranch, I can denote that those who have not visited a brothel are most likely to have a contrary view of it while those who have had chance to go there and talk to one of the sex workers may change their viewpoint. Prostitution offers women the opportunity to express their sexuality and right to control their own body; thus the need to enact protective laws and observation of moral issues for all.
In my opinion, there is no doubt that women should have control of their own body since it is an intrinsic right. As expressed by Denis Hof, women who go to work in his brothel are learned, some with postgraduate degrees (ReasonTV, 2014). Also, Mr. Hof noted that some of them do not just need sex alone, but the entire adventure. Even though I have never been in a brothel, his explanation can create a concrete perspective that most of the workers are a think-alike group and they would like to do what they love. It would be proper if laws and morality are observed regarding the way brothels operate so that the underaged and public are protected.

There is no doubt that sex workers should be observed with some dignity as they express own sexuality and right of body ownership. It is a choice they make; thus, an enabling environment should be in place such as the creation of protective legislation to protect them as well as the general public.
