Week 7 Discussion 1
How to communicate EBP project results
I will disseminate the EBP project results regarding mental illness through internal hospital boards and external professional nursing organizations. For example, I will use scientific seminars as tools for effectively engaging the audience and communicating the findings to the hospital board. The proceedings of the seminar will create awareness and inform board members of the importance of changing healthcare policies to provide quality care. Notably, face to face communication involved during scientific seminars is quite appropriate for presenting EBP results to physicians, nurses, and other professionals providing patient care (Milner, 2016). This is because the method promotes interaction and ensures that the researcher gets instant feedback, especially during questioning sessions.
However, I would use the external method to present my scientific publication in conferences of professional nursing organizations, specifically the American Nurses Association. The said organization will provide an ideal platform for disseminating the mental health project results to a larger audience of nurses. Therefore, they would be eager to engage in face to face consultations and discussions among themselves during conference proceedings (Milner, 2016). Remarkably, the methods of communication would be different in both the internal and external forums. For example, I would use an interactive and informal communication in internal forums since the board will be composed of colleagues. Conversely, I would use formal communication when presenting to the members of the American Nurses Association.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Finally, sharing the results of my EBP research project to the two different groups will ensure knowledge and information sharing to educate and inform the nursing fraternity. Consequently, nurses will gain insights regarding decision-making capabilities when faced with mental health dilemmas in nursing practice. Therefore, this would improve patient outcomes. Additionally, presenting the findings to the duo would provide an opportunity for criticizing the results and recommending directions for future research before implementation.
