A training manual is an important document that companies utilize to enhance the quality of work. It helps the company explain what they need from their employees and further introduces the subject before the training. A training manual is also utilized as a system of reference. Companies should develop competent training manuals because they provide organized employee training that leads to successful projects with few errors. A competent manual should be comprehensive, interactive, and precise. Additionally, a competent manual solves numerous problems in the company. To start with, it decreases the low productivity of the company and heightens employees’ efficiency by making it easy for them to navigate and do their work well. Therefore, it is essential to create a quality training manual to engage employees in their work effectively. Preparation of the training manuals is a delicate task that requires carefulness. Before creating training manuals, it is important to understand the nature of the target audience. Apart from understanding the target audience's nature, the employee should understand the training objectives to meet the required standards. Well-developed training should be intuitively easy to follow, observable on the look, and easy to understand. Because training manuals are long and full of words, the manual designers should ensure that they are clear and involving, and use less text with graphic elements. Numerous steps are involved in developing a training manual. The first step in developing the training manual involves identifying the objective of the training manual. Identifying the training manual objective is critical because it sets the training tone, consequently determining its success. Another important step in developing a training manual is identifying the manual's target audience. Apart from identifying the target audience and objective, selecting the necessary tools and developing the required training materials is another important step in developing a training manual. As indicated by Hunter (2020), selecting the necessary tools involve the use of visuals and texts to improve learners’ engagement. Developing an assessment component is another step that is used to develop a training manual. This step helps the company to identify the place where training is required. The last step of training manual development is feedback. Feedback helps learners to perfect and develop a practical training manual. There are specific days when training manual development occurs. A training manual is deployed on the fourth day when the employer offers training and interactive sessions to the new and existing employees. There are six days involved in developing a training manual. The first day involves setting objectives to be achieved; the second day involves hiring employees and understanding their behavior. The third day involves setting up tools to be utilized for training. On the fourth day, the actual training is conducted, while on the fifth day, the employees’ performance assessment is conducted. Finally, feedback on the training manual development is done on the sixth day. In the actual training, employees interact with each other on work-related matters. The information and awareness provided to employees permit them to finish their tasks on time, provide quality services to customers, and produce quality work (Sembai, 2019). The fourth, fifth, and sixth days are the most important days of the training manual development because they outline activities in progress. In contrast, the remaining days determine the success of the training session.

Since training manuals are effective tools in the company, companies need to develop clear and involving training manuals. To effectively develop manuals, companies need to consider learning objectives, delivery methods, and training information. Training manuals should also be written in understandable language. Because developing training manuals is an ongoing process, companies should always make updates and improvements to cater to future changes.
