After reviewing the Chapter 11 "Finding Your Purpose" section, discuss some of the ways that people might discover their purpose.

According to Buechner (2013), people can find their purpose by identifying God’s mission towards their lives. This knowledge results from the ability of people to discern the work they need to do as individuals while at the same time identifying what they love doing most. To identify one’s purpose is similar to finding meaningful work that you passionately enjoy doing and that will make an impact in people’s lives

Where are you in the process of finding your purpose?

Kelly, Rollinson, & Marsh (1986) explain that the true purpose of man is to Glorify God and to enjoy love forever. Finding how to achieve this purpose is not easy since it takes time to discover what we love as well as what we desire to do. Finding something that is in the category of what we love and is meaningful to the world is a difficult task. However, I have realized that I do not want to spend my life in a career that I will not enjoy. For this reason, I have taken up this course that will help me to learn more about God and how to please Him. It may not be my complete purpose but I believe it is steering in the right direction of identifying my purpose in life.

What might be some of the ramifications of living without purpose?

According to White (2008), having purpose in one’s life provides a vision that directs a person to their vocation and not just a job they can do. People who live without purpose often feel empty and lost. Their lives may not make sense and they lack the will to carry on living. Furthermore, people without a purpose in life often feel like they are unable to contribute anything in their own lives or the lives of other people. Life becomes monotonous and plain since they do not enjoy what they are doing nor do they feel any satisfaction of the activities they perform.

How might having purpose in life impact the way people live their daily lives, and make long-term plans and decisions?

Human beings were created for a specific purpose as an Intelligent and divine being. Therefore, they are able to discern what is right and what is wrong. Having a purpose in life further increases this knowledge in such a way that the person is able to live in an ethical manner. Purpose also helps an individual to find the right directions and make decisions that enables them fulfill their purpose in life (Oppong, 2017). As a result, the individual is able to obtain tangible outcomes since they are able to identify and adjust their goals and select the ones that are in line with their purpose.
