In my first year in college, I realized that my studies would be much easier if I had in my possession a personal computer. I realized how critical a laptop would be in my studies. However, I had an immediate problem in that my parents were not in a financial position to buy the laptop. The sum total of all my savings was about $50 at that time, and a good laptop was not less than 150 bucks. The computer would help me to complete my assignments on time and also do my researches. Once I informed my parents, the much they could be able to raise for me at that moment was $25. That meant I had a total of $75 which was just a half of the amount I needed to purchase the laptop. I was left with no option but to ask for assistance from a friend who helped me raise the rest of the amount.
It was my first time to ask for financial help from the friend. The first impression I had was that the friend would think that I am taking advantage of our friendship to ask for favors. I was not sure that he would help and actually I expected him to give endless excuses as to why he would not be able to lend me the money. He was a year ahead of me in the same institution hence I was also afraid that he would go public and tell everyone in college that he actually lend me the money that I used to purchase the laptop.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
There are things that are easier to ask help with while others are hard to ask for help. This depends on the emotional involvement in the matter. For instance, it would be easier to ask for help with an assignment than it is to ask for financial assistance. Also, it would be easier to ask for physical help than it is to ask for emotional support and help. Those things that affect you emotionally are more personal hence it would not be easy to open up and ask for help. However, those situations that are not so personal would be easier to ask for help.
