Knowing the EBP process with change the way I approach problems in future, as it seeks to adopt an approach to dealing with the problems that is based on scientific research evidenced within different studies. Butler, Hall, & Copnell (2016) argue that EBP creates a standard approach through which to use scientific studies with the sole intention being towards achieving the best possible outcomes. Personally, I believe that this would help in providing me with a rather comprehensive understanding of what I am expected to do when dealing with my patients while ensuring that I use approaches that can be justified based on their success rates. EBP focuses more on the successes associated with nursing care approaches, which would serve as a guide in the nursing delivery from to achieve overall effectiveness (Kalb, O'Conner-Von, Brockway, Rierson, & Sendelbach, 2015). I believe that knowing and understanding the EBP process will seek to change the way I advance overall quality of nursing to my patients while maximizing on effectiveness.
EBP seeks to advocate for consistency in nursing care, as it sets standards that nurses are expected to follow in their bid to achieving the best possible outcomes (Leung, Trevena, & Waters, 2016). By knowing the EBP process, I believe that I would be in a rather effective position allowing me to remain consistent in my abilities to deal with the problems that I encounter in future. In other words, this means that I would be in a position that would establish my capacities to deliver on the best possible outcomes. Ryan (2016) highlights that the consistency associated with the EBP process advocates for the best patient outcomes while building on a platform for efficiency in capacity to deal with challenges. I believe that this would serve as one of the key aspects that I would consider as a professional in my bid to dealing with the problems that I encounter as part of my future.
