Product reliability cuts across many aspects; however, what stands out is that a product should satisfy a customer. This essay will explain product reliability through real-life examples.

One product that I have purchased that meets the reliability standards is a Smartphone from a brand that is relatively new. Some elements of product reliability are on issues to do with time. Time can be defined as the aging of the product when it gets to the hands of a consumer. This phone has served me for two years without any problems. Confidence is the element of a product that meets reliability standards, which means that the reliability requirement should be put into consideration together with confidence levels (Jiang, 2015). Du e to its good looks and durability, this phone passes the confidence level test. These are some of the reasons why I consider this phone to have high-reliability standards.

A product that has recently failed to meet the reliability standards are a pair of jeans that I bought, which faded within the first three washes, and is now tattered. Products that do not meet reliability standards have several characteristics. Not meeting the specified time put on the instructions is one of the attributes of a product that does not meet its reliability standards. For instance, when it comes to automobiles, the lifetime of a car is measured concerning kilometres/meters. If a car breaks down before it meets the set distance, then it does not meet reliability standards (Smith, 2017). Standardisation is the other reliability requirement for a great product. These come in various forms, and it can be in the likes of best practices-cost effectiveness and innovative measures. If a product falls short of such elements, then it does not meet reliability standards.
