In the article “The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health,” Palatnik (2016) explores different nursing leadership aspects and its significance in the healthcare system. The most interesting aspect presented in this article is the need for a full partnership that transcends different nursing profession levels. Through its analysis, I was able to identify that administration skills and competencies should not be integrated within one's profession but also in collaboration with other healthcare professionals in the industry. As nurses are strong patient advocates, those in nursing administration should ensure that they are highly engaged in decision making concerning the improvement of care.
In the article “Challenges facing nursing education in the advanced healthcare environment,” Fawaz et al. (2018) explore the various demands that the nursing education system now has to deal with. Some of these demands include an increase in the number of elderly patients and critically ill patients, an increase in healthcare expenses, and an increase in the deficit in nursing staff. Due to these demands, several solutions can be applied to the nursing education system to ensure that quality education is provided to nursing staff. The primary solution is to ensure that nurse educators conduct regular assessments and reviews of education curricula and programs to allow for the preparation of new professional nurses.

The article “Enhancing the role of community health nursing for universal health coverage” by WHO (2017) assesses community vision. While assessing the community health nursing vision, World Health Organization (2017) identifies that the healthcare system is shifting from hospitals to the community. Interestingly, the World Health Organization (2017) states that structuring community health nursing to broaden health system changes is important. Advanced practices in community health have been critical in demonstrating leadership and developing effective models of knowledge transitions. These advancements have increased the engagement of decisions and policymakers within the nursing community.
