The PICO(T) question explores how Americans with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes can implement lifestyle and dietary change to reduce A1C levels. The question is relevant because diabetes is prevalent within the United States. Approximately thirty-four million U.S. citizens have diabetes, with between 90-95 percent of them having type 2 diabetes ("Type 2 Diabetes," 2020). The condition significantly reduces the quality of life for patients. The research also demonstrates the connection between genetic predispositions to the prevalence of type 2diabetes ( Zheng et al., 2018 ). The student also researches on the impact of implementing lifestyle and dietary lifestyle on A1C levels.
The student does not offer a comprehensive outline of how he/she would search through the database to identify scholarly articles that they can use to conduct the research. The student should have developed criteria for searching through the database to identify relevant articles that can be used to explore the role of implementing lifestyle and dietary change in reducing A1C levels.

The PICO(T) question explores how elderly patients with delirium are at greater risk of falls while in hospitals without supervision or rounding. The question is important and significant because falls are a great concern among the elderly, particularly elderly persons with delirium. The condition is an acute disorder of cognition and attention prevalent in people aged 65 or older ( Kukreja, Günther, & Popp, 2015 ). Delirium is common in hospitalized older adults and increases the risk of mortality and subsequent functional decline. The delirium increases the risk of falls among the elderly ( Wan & Chase, 2017 ). The research can offer insight into ways to reduce delirium prevalence among the elderly, which will also help prevent falls.
The student has employed a comprehensive approach that has helped him/her search through the database efficiently. The approach has helped the student find precise, accurate, and up-to-date information on delirium and falls within the database. However, I believe that the student should have only focused on articles that explore the prevalence of delirium and falls among the elderly in healthcare institutions. The research should also have focused on ways to reduce incidences of deliriums among the elderly.
