Personal evangelism refers to the Christian duty where an individual through experimental devotion to God and compassion for other people constrained naturally through prayer communicate the gospel message verbally to other people. The individual consistently substantiate the gospel through self-sacrificial life to help other people to enter the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. To be a witness of Christ, one must be sure that he or she is a Christian. True Christians must show total commitment to Jesus Christ. People cannot claim to be Christians just because they know that Christ died for all our sins and later rose from the dead. Reading the Bible always, baptism, or taking an active part in church matters is not enough for someone to claim to be a witness for Christ. The word of God advocates for people to become personal evangelists. For instance the book of Proverbs 11:30 say whoever wins souls are wise. God is happy when a believer manages to win a soul. The kingdom of God is pleased when a lost sheep come back. Jesus said that it was a wise thing for a herder who has one hundred sheep and loses one to leave the ninety-nine and look the lost one. This means that every true witness for Christ must win souls to Christ.
The respondents surprised me by the manner in which they were willing to share their views about Jesus Christ. In my survey, I realized that there were so many people who were ready to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. I realized that a small number of people have the thinking that to be a good Christian is just reading the Bible and giving to charities. I got embraced by the way people gave me an opportunity to pray for them and accepted to follow Jesus Christ. During this time God taught me that I could win souls. He confirmed to me that He has invested in me to make people accept the gospel and surrender their lives to him. Some of the respondents were very willing to continue talking about the greatness of Jesus Christ. I gave them ample time, and they gave lengthy testimonies of how God has rescued them. This made me very happy because I realized that the gospel of Jesus Christ had reached many people and they thought that they made the right choice to accept Jesus Christ as their savior. After taking part in the fruitful personal evangelism, am motivated to dedicate more time to spread the gospel during my free time and leisure time. I will be happy to reach to people who do not know the gospel doctrine to as many people as possible. God used this experience to confirm to me that I have the capacity and potential to preach the gospel. I am motivated to do it more and more. I am going to fully dedicate myself to personal evangelism and bring many souls to the kingdom of God.
