Goal
The goal I have set for my client is to maintain a state of optimal performance and positive health by maintaining ideal body weight. My client has a BMI of 24, which is considered as normal weight according to the WHO and conventional standards ( Nuttall, 2015). Therefore, the goal of the diet is to help the client maintain the normal body weight level, which is also an indicator of normal body fat. The diet plan will constitute designing a balanced diet for my client. The macronutrients (Carbohydrates, fats, and proteins) are to be served in large amounts while micronutrients (Vitamins and minerals) in smaller quantities.
Work and Exercise
My client participates in intense activities during the weekdays and rests during the weekend and two days off in the week. The two days off are allocated for exercise. Due to the commitment pattern, my client eats more during the week and less during the weekend. Performing the weekdays' work cycle requires large amounts of energy, which demands more carbohydrates to supply the required energy. The nature of the work cycle provides a fixed timeline for work and exercise.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Dietary Suggestion
The client’s diet includes
20% of meal serving to include a variety of vegetables- dark green vegetables, legumes, red and orange
10% Whole fruits
35% carbohydrates- Whole grains
20% Low-fat dairy- yogurt, milk, fortified soy beverages
10% Proteins- seafood, soy products, nuts, seeds
5% oils and minerals
reduction or elimination of alcohol
Exercise
Moderate body exercise is appropriate for my client’s weight. Moderate intensity, types, and duration of exercises will be managed through the daily engaging work routine. The types and intensity of exercise are to help in maintaining correct body posture.
Effectiveness of the Dietary Suggestion
The dietary suggestion recommends a large intake of macronutrients. The client requires a large supply of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats to provide the required energy to work and repair and healing of the body. The macronutrients are to be taken in moderate supply. The diet balance allows the client to maintain normal BMI. The goal is realistic. The client's current BMI is normal. The goal could have been challenging if the client had an underweight or overweight body mass index.
