Writing status reports is an essential and essential way of reporting progress. They provide a means for evaluating the far we have come and have been able to handle, and the goals we still want to achieve. In this report, I will be addressing the challenges I have faced so far, the assignments I have been able to complete, and the concerns I may be having. In her book Sensing the rhythm, Harvey (2017) describes the ordeals she goes through and how she overcomes them. In a way, I can relate to them and borrow her non-quitting spirit. Balancing my social life and studies has been a challenge. I am a mother to three kids, a full-time nurse, and at the same time, a full-time student. In the wake of this novel COVID-19 pandemic, we the healthcare workers became essential warriors in this fight. I spend more time in the hospital, more so when there is a shortage of staff during the shifts. There are times I feel that the pressure is too much to bear and that I should probably drop some things. However, I, at the same time, want to finish my studies. I will be done halfway through this class, and I couldn’t have come this far to throw it all to the wind. Before this, I completed other assignments: Managerial Success, how Habitat for Humanity International Organization promotes innovation, and a review on Ricker’s Article on Innovation. There are times when completing my assignments in due time becomes a significant challenge. When there is a shortage of nurses on shift, I leave the hospital when it’s already late. Arriving at home, I have first to take care of my children, and by the time I am through, I am already exhausted to the brim. The request I would like to make is to be exempted from disciplinary actions for late submission of assignments. It is never done on purpose.
