Only one out of four adults and one out of five high school students meet the physical activity guidelines in the united states. Nearly 31 million are 50 years and above and inactive, implying they do not participate in any physical activities as part of their daily life routine (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2020). A decrease in physical activity increases in heart-related conditions, diabetes and even cancer. There is an increase in the cost of health by $117 billion annually due to a decrease in physical activities among a country's individuals.

Good nutrition is key in keeping humans healthy across their lifespan. Obesity remains to be the main factor that contributes to most health problems among Americans. Studies indicate that one individual in every five children between four to five years old and one in every three children between the ages of ten and eleven are suffering from obesity and overweight. There has been an increase in obesity in recent years, from 15% to 25%. The distribution is equal to the various states in the United States (House of Commons Health Committee, 2015). Within the last seven years, the number of children between 4 and 5 years of age suffering from obsessing was low compared to the current situation.

Less than 5% of people living in the United States take part in physical exercise lasting 30 minutes a day. Children spend more than seven and a half hours of the entire day watching television ("Facts & Statistics: Physical Exercise," 2020). Only one in every five homes has a park or live near a park to engage in physical exercise. Americans eat less of the recommended amount of vegetables and whole-grain daily. The outcomes of all their actions negatively affect their health.
