In order to push for this implementation, a leadership direction, and personality needs to be established. Qualities such as high self-esteem, internal locus, and self-efficacy should be pursued.
Finally, a strategic argument in favor of the ban should be built. The argument should address the harms and threats that unrestricted smoking has on the health of the users, and those exposed to and the organization at large. It should address other legal enactments established to address the use of cigarettes and other agents in public places. Finally, the argument should address the benefits that the organization will obtain from such an initiative.
The presentation of these arguments will be clearer and convincing when a correct understanding of the organizational behavior, culture is understood and blended with an understanding of groups, individuals and self.
