Many people think that social media is unhealthily addicted to people but this is not true as social media is not unhealthily addicted. Social media plays a big role in the lives of people especially the millennial generation. Today one does not need to own a television or a radio so as to have access to what is going on or to get information. The millennial generation only needs a smartphone and internet and that's as all the information can be accessed with the two (Furlong, 2013). The millennial generation or the internet generation is healthily addicted to social media.

Social media is of an essence to the internet generation; for instance, the social media builds a connection between people, it’s through the social media where people get to keep in touch with their family, relatives, and friends (Obar, 2015). The world has become a small village and thus people travel everywhere; families live separate today as each may be working on a different country and thus for them to connect they have to use the social media. Bing on social media such as WhatsApp, twitter, facebook, and snap chat helps people to connect with each other and that why I argue that being addicted to social media is healthy as long as one is using it for health purposes.

When it comes to business then ask the businessmen and women; social media has really helped them to make their business popular and also make profits. Entrepreneurs of the millennial generation claim that social media marketing is a powerful fad that must be taken advantage of. The social media acts as a marketing tool to the entrepreneurs and it has helped them increase brand recognition as social media is easily accessible to customers. Brand loyalty has also been improved through the use of social media thus social media is healthy.
